ORDINANCE NO. 72-2-604
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
AN ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IENTUCKY,
AND EDWARD T. HANNAN AND ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A TRUNK
LINE SANITARY SEWER FROM THE GREATER PADUCAH INDUSTRIAL SITE ON COLEMAN
ROAD TO EXISTING SANITARY SEWER FACILITIES ON THE WESTERN CITY LIMITS
OF PADUCAH, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH
CONTRACT SHALL BE MADE
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah has heretofore agreed with the
County of McCracken and the Greater Paducah Industrial Development
Association to make an application for a grant to construct a trunk
line sanitary sewer from the GPIDA property on Coleman Road to the
existing sanitary sewer facilities on the western city limits of
Paducah, and
WHEREAS, Edward T. Hannan & Associates, Inc. as Engineers,
have prepared the said application and have submitted a proposal for
engineering services, a copy of which has been received, approved and
filed with the Minutes of the meeting of the Board of Commissioners on
January 25, 1972,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are
hereby, authorized to execute an Engineering Services Agreement between
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as Owner, and Edward T. Hannan and
Associates, Inc. as Engineer, for the construction of a trunk line
sanitary sewer from the Greater Paducah Industrial Site on the Coleman
Road to the existing sanitary sewer facilities of the City on the
western city limits, said Engineering Services Agreement to be in the
words and figures of the copy of the proposed Engineering Services
agreement as was filed with the Minutes of the Meeting of the Board
Of Commissioners on January 25, 1972, and the proposed Engineering
Services Agreement is adopted herein by reference.
SECTION 2. The Engineering Services Agreement shall be contingent
upon the funding of the City of Paducah's application for a 50% grant
for the cost of all labor and material in the construction of the
sewer extension facility and for the engineering services required in
the planning, construction and inspection of the facility.

SECTION 3. All sums of money to be paid to the said Edward
T. Hannan and Associates, Inc. shall be paid from the Sewer Depreciation
and Extension Fund of the City.
SECTION 4. An emergency is.declared to exist and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week
for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall beput
upon its final passage, and if adopted .shall be in full force and effect
immediately thereafter. _
