FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) CORRUGATED ALUMINUM STRUCTURAL PLATE
INTEGRAL ARCH CULVERT TO BE USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION IN THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to advertise for bids for the purchase of one 40 foot long corrugated
Aluminum Structural Plate Integral Arch Culvert, net span 6 foot 2 inch,
net rise 4 foot 10 inch, thickness of metal 0.90 inch, complete with
aluminum corrugated structural plate floor system, thickness of metal
0.09 inch. Culvert to be delivered and to be assembled at job site
by seller on Davis Avenue between Chestnut Street and Walnut Street,
off Lone Oak Road, Paducah, Kentucky.
The plates shall be fabricated from aluminum alloy 5052-H141.
The chemical composition of the plates shall conform to ASTM desig-
nation 5209 alloy 5052. The bid price shall be f.o.b. to the afore-
mentioned job site in the City of Paducah. The successful bidder
must be capable of making delivery upon two (2) weeks notice anytime
after execution of a contract. Said bid will be guaranteed against
advances in price anytime during the year 1970.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by
posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published not less than
seven (7) days nor more than twenty-one (21) days before the date fixed
for the opening of bids. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be
received after the hour fixed in the norice for the opening of same.
All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice
for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners
who may let a contract to the lowest responsible bidder, and the Board
of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids
and the City shall not become legally obligated to any bidder until the
adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
