ORDINANCE NO. 71-12-585
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WARREN O. MORRIS AND WIFE,
JUANITA K. MORRIS TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN
THE SOUTH ONE --HALF OF LOT 17 IN METZGER ADDITION ON LINCOLN STREET
FOR THE SUM OF $50.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Warren O. Morris and wife, Juanita
K. Morris, in the amount of $50.00 to purchase the interest of the City
of Paducah in the following described land in said City, be accepted,
said land being described as follows:
The south one-half of Lot 17 in Metzger
Addition, fronting 25 feet, more or less,
on the west side of Lincoln Street, and as
shown on page 45 of Block Map Book 7 in
the office of the City Engineer.
Being the same land (Big Ten Improvement
Company property) conveyed to the City of
Paducah by Ben C. LeRoy, City Treasurer, by
deed dated November 22, 1971, and of record
in Deed Book 535, page 60 in the McCracken
County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $50.00 to the City
Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to convey to Warren O. Morris and wife, Juanita K. Morris, all right,
title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1
hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall
contain no warrenty as to title, shall be subject to any state of facts
that might be shown by an accurate survey and shall be subject to 1971
city taxes, which are to be paid by the purchasers.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
