ORDINANCE NO. 71-10-558
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN
SHORT 16TH STREET AND A 15 FOOT ALLEY, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING
ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning
Commission on October 20, 1971, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE
FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN SHORT 16TH STREET AND A 15 FOOT
ALLEY", be adopted as the final report of said Commission respecting
the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map
amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby
declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City
of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 Medium Density Residential Zone
to B-3 General Business Zone:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of
16th Street with the dividing line between W. F. Gilbert and
Lucyle Martin, if extended; thence in a southwesterly direction
along and with the dividing line between W. F. Gilbert and Lucyle
Martin a distance of 148 feet, more or less, to a point in said
dividing line; thence at right angles and in a southeasterly
direction with the southwest line of W. F. Gilbert a distance
of 331 feet, more or less, to the center line of 16th Street;
thence in an easterly direction with the center line of 16th
Street a distance of 182 feet, more or less, to the point of
intersection of the existing B-3 zone line with said center line;
thence in a northwesterly direction along and with the center
line of 16th Street a distance of 382 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for
any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or
provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each
and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all
other sections, paragraphs and provisions.

SECTION 9. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
