ORDINANCE NO. 71-9-546
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE MECHANICSBURG
CONCENTRATED CODE ENFORCEMENT PROJECT TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH LLOYD
C. EMERY, ATTORNEY, FOR FURNISHING LEGAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH
SAID PROJECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Executive Director of the Mechanicsburg Code
Enforcement Project KY E-2 be, and she is hereby, authorized to execute
a contract with Lloyd C. Emery, Attorney, for furnishing legal services
relating to titles of parcels of real property within the project area
for purposes of acquisition and/or loans and grants and for approval of
certain instruments in connection therewith for purposes of rehabilitation.
The terms of the contract shall be from its date until the termination
and completion of the project, whichever shall first occur. All fees
shall be in accordance with the Kentucky State Bar Association Fee Manual
as pertains to minimum fees, or for an average of such fees as may be
approved by the Corporation Counsel. The said contract shall further
provide for a termination of the agreement be either party giving a
thirty day formal written notice thereof.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which
it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full
force and effect ten days thereafter.
