AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIMAR PAVING COMPANY, INC.
FOR RESURFACING VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, INCLUDING THE
RAISING AND RESETTING OF MANHOLES, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH RESURFACING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Jimar
Paving Company, Inc. for resurfacing various streets in the City of
Paducah, including the raising and resetting of manholes, which bid
complies with the resolution authorizing such bids, which was passed
by the Board of Commissioners on May 25, 1971, and which bid was
dated June 11, 1971, and is in words and figures as follows:
"We will furnish, haul, spread and compact on streets to be
resurfaced, Kentucky specification Class "I" Type "B" bi-
tuminous concrete surface mixtures using limestone aggregate
for the price of $8.70 ton.
"We will furnish and apply bituminous tack coat ss-lh complying
with highway specifications for the price of $0.35 gal.
"We will furnish and apply primer L complying with highway
specifications for the price of $0.45 gal.
"We will raise and reset the manholes for the price of $55.00
each.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized

to execute a contract with Jimar Paving Company, Inc. for the resurfacing, r
work as set out in Section 1 above, and in accordance with the said bid
and said resolution.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form
in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be
in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
