ORDINANCE No. 71-6-480
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JAMES C. JOHNSON TO PURCHASE
THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN TWO LOTS ON NORTH SEVENTH
STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $664.65, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of James C. Johnson, in the amount of
$664.65, in the following described lots in said City be accepted,
said land being described as follows:
TRACT I.
Lot 38, Block "F" of Harris, Flournoy, Trimble &
Norton Addition fronting 43.25 feet on the west side
of 7th Street and being 86.62 feet south of Park
Avenue, and as shown on page 82 of Block Map Book
No. 1 in the office of the City Engineer.
Being the same land (John W. Watters property)
conveyed to the City of Paducah by Ben C. LeRoy,
Treasurer, by deed dated May 25, 1971 and of
record in Deed Book , page , in the
McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
TRACT II.
Lot 39, Block "F" of Flournoy, Harris, Trimble &
Norton Addition, fronting 43.31 feet on west side
of 7th Street and being 43.31 feet south of Park
Avenue, and as shown on page 82 of Block Map Book
No. 1 in 'the office of the City Engineer.
Being the same land (John W. Watters property)
conveyed to the City of Paducah by Ben C. LeRoy,
Treasurer, by deed dated May 25, 1971 and of
record in Deed Book page , in the
McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $664.65 to the City
Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to convey to James C. Johnson all the rights, title and
interest of the City in the properties described in Section 1
hereof, and that said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only,
shall contain no warranty as to title, shall be subject to any state
Of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey and shall be
subject to 1971 city taxes which are to be paid by the purchaser.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption. )
