AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KAY UNIFORMS FOR FURNISHING THE
CITY OF PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT UNIFORMS FOR THE YEAR 1971, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASES
WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah has
determined that the lowest responsible bidder for furnishing uniforms
for the Police Department during the year 1971 is Kay Uniforms,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Kay Uniforms
for furnishing the City of Paducah Police Department with uniforms
for the year 1971, said bid being dated May 11, 1971 and is in words
and figures as follows:

b. (Unform Coat) 52.50 each
C. (1) (Trousers -Fall & winter 22.75 each

Trousers) 15.75 each
d. (1) (Trousers -Summer) 19.95 each

Delivery on tailor made uniforms is approximately 8-12 weeks,
caps approximately 3-4 weeks on original order, immediately thereafter,
and balance of uniforms we have in stock ordinarily for immediate delivery.

Said bid being in substantial compliance with the resolution
authorizing bids dated April 20, 1971.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to enter into a contract for the purchase of items set
out in Section 1 above at times and in quantities as needed for the
period of one year from date of such contract.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in
which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be
in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
