A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
TO THE COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC SAFETY, COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY,
FOR A HIGHWAY SAFETY PROJECT GRANT FOR LOCAL PARTICIPATION IN THE
NATIONAL HIGHWAY SAFETY ACT OF 1966
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute an application to the Commissioner of Public Safety,
Commonwealth of Kentucky, for a Highway Safety Project Grant in the
amount of $26,250.00 for local participation in the National Highway
Safety Act of 1966.
SECTION 2. That in the event such application is approved
the City of Paducah will contribute an amount of $26,250.00 from
general fund monies allocated to the Police Department, and will
account for said sum of money for personal services and contractual
services which are presently being provided in said Police Department.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
