FOR TOE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) CORRUGATED ALUMINUM STRUCTURAL PLATE
INTEGRAL ARCH CULVERTS TO BE USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION IN THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to advertise for bids for the purchase of the following corrugated
aluminum structural plate integral arch culverts:
One 40 foot long corrugated aluminum structural plate integral
arch culvert, net span 12 foot 5 inch, net rise 6 foot 9 inch, thickness
of metal 0.175 inch, complete with aluminum corrugated structural plate
floor system, thickness of metal 0.090 inch. Culvert to be delivered
and to be assembled at job site, on Miller Street near South 28th
Street, Paducah, Kentucky, by seller.
One 50 foot long corrugated aluminum structural plate integral
arch culvert, net span 14 foot 10 inch, net rise 7 foot 0 inch, thickness
of metal 0.175 inch, complete with aluminum corrugated structural plate
floor system, thickness of metal 0.090 inch. Culvert to be delivered
and assembled at job site on Jones Street near South 28th Street,
Paducah, Kentucky, by seller.
The said plates shall be fabricated from aluminum alloy 5052-H141.
The chemical composition of the plates shall conform to ASTM designation
5209 alloy 5052. The bid price shall be for F.O.B. to the afore-
mentioned job sites in the City of Paducah. The successful bidder
must be capable of making delivery on each or both items upon two (2)
weeks notice anytime after execution of a contract. Said bid will be
guaranteed against advances in price anytime during the year 1970.
It is anticipated delivery will be taken on the bid items as soon as
weather for construction permits.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by
posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published not less than
seven (7) days nor more than twenty-one (21) days before the date fixed
for the opening of bids. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be
received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same.

All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice
for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners
who may let a contract to the lowest and best bidder,•and the Board of
Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and
the City shall not become legally obligated to any bidder until the
adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
