A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR TWO (2) NEW ONEāHALF TON PICK-UP TRUCKS FOR
USE IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, AND ONE (1) FOR USE IN CEMETERY
DEPARTMENT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to advertise for bids for two (2) new one-half ton pick-up
trucks for use in the Public Works Department and one (1) for use in the
Cemetery Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, said trucks having
the following minimum specifications:
Engine 302
Wheel base 126 minimum - 8' bed
Frame: 36,000 PSI Section Modulus 2.98
Maximum GVW 5,000
Front Axle - Optional Single I beam or twin I beam
Capacity 2,750 lbs.
Rear Axle capacity 3,300 lbs.
Rear end differential ratio 3.25 to i
Brakes H.D. front and rear
Bower brake booster
Automatic transmission
12 volt electrical system
Battery 66 plates 70 amp hr.
Alternator 42 amps
Front springs capacity lbs. 1175
Rear Springs capacity lbs. 1250
Front and rear shock absorbers H.D.
Steering Std: recirculating ball type
Wheels - rim size 5 hole
Tires: 7:00x15 tube type
Rear view mirror - left door
Each bidder shall state the amount he will accept in cash for
sale to the City of the foregoing property, including any and all
applicable taxes, and each bidder shall state the approximate amount
of time required for delivery.

SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids
by notice posted up at the City Hall door and by publication pursuant
to KRS Chapter 424. No bids shall be opened within ten days from
the date on which the resolution is adopted, and no bid shall be
received after the hour fixed for the opening of bids. All bids
received by the City Manager up to the time for opening of same
shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract
to the lowest responsible bidder. The City shall have the right to
refuse and reject any and all bids.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
