ORDINANCE NO. 71-4-452
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JOHNSTON MACHINERY COMPANY
FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) NEW CATCH BASIN CLEANER AND
TRUCK WITH FLUSHER ATTACHMENT, FOR USE IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Johnston
Machinery Company for the sale to the City of one (1) new catch basin
cleaner and truck with flusher attachment for use in the public works
department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, said bid being in the net
amount of $43,264.00 f.o.b. Paducah, and said bid having the specifica-
tions as set out in the resolution dated December 8, 1970, adopted by
the Board of Commissioners authorizing bids, and as contained in the
bid of Johnston Machinery Company dated December 18, 1970.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Johnston Machinery Company for the purchase.
of the property set out in Section 1 above according to said resolution
and said bid.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one (l)
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be
put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and
effect immediately thereafter.
