ORDINANCE NO. 71-3-450
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE
ACCEPTING THE BID OF MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS & ELECTRONICS, INC.
FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT TO BE USED IN
THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance having the title
quoted above, which was adopted by the Board Of Commissioners on
March 9, 1971, be amended and reordained so that said section as
amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of
Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. in the total amount of
$49,052.85 for the sale to the City of Paducah of communication
equipment for use in the Paducah Police Department, which bid complies
with the specifications as set out in a resolution adopted by the Board
Of Commissioners on January 26, 1971 authorizing such bids and as
contained in the bid of Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc.
dated February 11, 1971, and which bid includes the following items
and equipment:
One Motorola Communications Control Center,
(1) complete, supplied and installed (see
equipment list for parts breakdown) $25,897.00
One Motorola C73MHB1140-R, 2 frequency Base
Station, complete with scrambler, base
station receiver and monitor receiver
supplied and installed (see equipment
list for parts breakdown)
Fifteen Motorola T53BBN1190K Mobile, Solid State,
(15) 2 frequency operation, complete with
automatic dimmers and scramblers,
supplied and installed (see equipment
list for parts breakdown)
Four Motorola H33FFN1100N Handie Talkies,
complete with carrying case and battery
charger, supplied and certified (see
equipment list for parts breakdown) $20,820.00
Total Equipment Supplied $46,717.00

SECTION 2. An emergency is declared to exist, and this
ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1)
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be
put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and
effect immediately thereafter.
