ORDINANCE NO. 71-3-444
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS &
ELECTRONICS, INC. FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT
TO BE USED IN THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Motorola Communi-
cations & Electronic, Inc. in the total amount of $44,997.00 for the sale to
the City of Paducah of communication equipment for use in the Paducah Police
Department, which bid complies with the specifications as set out in a
resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 26, 1971, autho-
rizing such bids and as contained in the bid of Motorola Communications &
Electronic, Inc, dated February 11, 1971, and which bid includes the following
items and Equipment:
1- Communications control center complete, supplied
and installed, including typing extension and arm
chair to be used with control center equipmeht $25,897.00
1- Two -frequency base station, complete with extra base
station receiver, and monitor receiver, supplies and
installed, less base station scrambler equipment.
15- Mobiles, solid state 2 -frequency operation, complete
with automatic dimmers, supplied and installed, less
mobile scrambler equipment
4- Handi-Talkies, complete with carrying case and battery
charger, supplied and certified 19,100.00
Total equipment supplied including tax $44,997.00
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc. for the
purchase of the equipment set out in Section 1 above and according.to the
resolution and said bid.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall
be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public
inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final
Passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereaf
