ORDINANCE NO. 71-1-427
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, WITH FLORENCE & HUTCHESON, INC.
FOR THE DESIGN AND ENGINEERING INSPECTION OF A SWIMMING POOL TO BE LOCATED
IN NOBLE PARK
WHEREAS, the Engineering Firm of Florence & Hutcheson, Inc.
has submitted to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a proposed agreement for
professional engineering services for the design and engineering inspection
of a swimming pool, bath house and related facilities to be constructed
in Noble Park in Paducah, Kentucky, which proposed agreement was received
and filed with the Minutes of this Board on December 22, 1970, and
WHEREAS, said proposed agreement has been found to be in a
standard form and appropriate for the services required,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:

SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to execute an agreement between the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, and Florence & Hutcheson, Inc. for engineering services in the
design and engineering inspection of a swimming pool, bath house and
related facilities to be located in Noble Park in Paducah, Kentucky, said
contract being verbatim and in all respects identical to the proposed
agreement which was received and filed with the Minutes of the Board of
Commissioners Meeting on December 22, 1970, and which said proposed
agreement is adopted herein by reference.
SECTION 2. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for one (1) week in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if
adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
