HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 432, Ordinance Number 71-1-426432 / ORDINANCE NO. 71-1-426 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE AMOUNT TO BE CHARGED PROPERTY OWNERS FOR CONNECTING TO THE CITY SANITARY SEWERS CONSTRUCTED IN AND NEAR BRADLEY STREET AND ALONG 29TH STREET FROM BRADLEY STREET TO THE RAILROAD PROPERTY IN THE FAIRMONT ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS, the Department of Public works of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, completed construction of sanitary sewers on Bradley Street and on 29th Street from Bradley Street to the Railroad property in the Fairmont Addition to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, on October 9, 1970, and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined that a reasonable prorata share of the expense of construction of said sewers is Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per unit to be connected to the sanitary sewer facility, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a charge of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) is hereby established to be charged to property owners connecting to the City's sanitary sewer constructed in and along Bradley Street and along 29th Street from Bradley Street to the Railroad property in the Fairmont Addition to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, which amount of Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars shall be paid to the City Treasurer. SECTION 2. No connection to said sanitary sewer system shall be made by any property owner or other person, firm or corporation except under permit for such connection issued in compliance with the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and all provisions of said Code pertaining to mandatory tap -ons and penalties for various violations shall apply hereto. SECTION 3.
