ORDINANCE NO. 70-12-418
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER
OF 8TH AND BURNETT STREETS, ANDAMENDINGTHE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961
SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning
Commission on December 16, 1970, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING
THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED
REZONING OF PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF 8TH AND BURNETT STREETS",
be adopted as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters
therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map
amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby
declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of
Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 Two -Family Residential Zone to M-1
General Industrial Zone:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of
Burnett Street with the center line of 8th Street; thence in a
northeasterly direction along and with the center line of Burnett
Street a distance of 242.5 feet to the point of intersection of
the center line of Burnett Street with the center line of a 25 foot
alley; thence in a southeasterly direction along and with the center
line of said alley a distance of 174 feet to a point; thence at right
angles parallel with the center line of Burnett Street and along the
east property line of J. R. Smith & Son a distance of 242.5 feet to
the center line of 8th Street; thence at right angles and in a north-
westerly direction along and with the center line of 8th Street
174 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for
any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or
provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each
and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all
other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
