ORDINANCE NO. 70-12-413
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF A TRACT OF LAND IN THE CENTER OF
THE BLOCK BETWEEN 4TH AND 5TH STREETS AND JEFFERSON AND MONROE STREETS,
AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH
REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning
Commission on December 2,_1970, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING
THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED
REZONING OF A TRACT OF LAND IN THE CENTER OF THE BLOCK BETWEEN 4TH AND
5TH STREETS AND JEFFERSON AND MONROE STREETS", be adopted as the final
report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map
amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby
declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of
Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed from B-2 Downtown Business Zone to B-3
General Business Zone:
Beginning at a point, the northwest corner of the original
L. S. DuBois Son & Co. Inc. property, which point lies 173.25
feet north of the north right-of-way line of Jefferson Street,
and 115.5 feet east of the east right-of-way line of 5th Street,
said point lying in the current dividing line between the B-2
and B-3 Zones; thence in a northerly direction and parallel
with the 5th Street right-of-way line 31.84 feet to a point;
thence with an interior angle of 89 degrees 41 minutes in an
easterly direction a distance of 71.00 feet to a point; thence
with an interior angle of 90 degrees 19 minutes and in a southerly
direction parallel with the 5th Street right-of-way line 26.85 feet
to a point; thence at right angles and in a westerly direction,
parallel with Jefferson Street 12.4 feet to a point; thence at
right angles and toward Jefferson Street 4.6 feet to a point;
thence at right angles and parallel with Jefferson Street in a
westerly direction 58.60 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for
any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or
provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each

and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all
other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
