HOSPITAL TO BE LOCATED IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, the Executive Board of the Western Kentucky AFL-CIO
Area Council has resolved to sponsor a drive to _promote the establishment
of a one thousand two hundred bed veteran's hospital to be built in Western
Kentucky, and
WHEREAS, said council has requested the approval and concurrence
of the Legislative Body of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That this Commission be on record as supporting and
concurring with the Western Kentucky AFL-CIO Area Council in its
efforts to acquire a one thousand two hundred bed Veteran's Adminis-
tration hospital for the area in and around Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized
and directed to send a copy of this resolution to said council, the
County Judge, the Greater Paducah Chamber of Commerce and to the
Congressmen and Senators of Kentucky, requesting their support for
this asset.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
