HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 356, Ordinance Number 70-10-400356 / ORDINANCE NO. 70-10-400 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN OFFER OF $300.00 BY GENE HOWLE FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH BORDERING ON TENNESSEE STREET AND GOEBEL AVENUE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED OF CONVEYANCE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of Gene Howle in the amount of $300.00 to purchase the hereinafter described property of'the City of'Paducah, be accepted, said property being described as follows: An irregular shaped tract of land bounded on the east by Chicago, St. Louis & New Orleans Railroad property, on the south by Tennessee Street, on the west by property of George G & Dorothy Cochran and on the north by Goebel Avenue, and being the same land conveyed to the City of Paducah by the Chicago, St. Louis & New Orleans Railroad Company, et al, by deed dated August 27, 1927 and of record in Deed Book 157, page 536 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. SECTION 2. Upon payment of the aforesaid sum of $300.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed to Gene Howle conveying the land described in Section 1 hereof, said deed to contain no covenant of warranty as to title and subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
