ORDINANCE NO. 70-10-392
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ALLAN RHODES, INC. FOR THE
SALE TO THE CITY OF THREE (3) NEW 1971 4 DOOR SEDAN AUTOMOBILES FOR
USE IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Allan
Rhodes, Inc. for the sale to the City of three (3) new 1971 Ford Custom
4 door sedans for use in the Police Department, said bid being in the
gross amount of $9,735.00, less trade-in allowance for three 1968
Ford police vehicles in the amount of $1,650.00 for a net price of
$8,085.00, said bid having the specifications as set out in a resolution
adopted by the Board of Commissioners on September 8, 1970 authorizing
bids, and as contained in the bid of Allan Rhodes, Inc. dated September
23, 1970.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Allan Rhodes, Inc. for the purchase of the
property set out above and according to said resolution and said bid.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in
which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in
full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
