ORDINANCE No. 70-10-390
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WESTERN BAPTIST HOSPITAL
FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF 18,000 CUBIC YARDS OF FILL DIRT TO BE USED
BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Western
Baptist Hospital for the sale to the City of 18,000 cubic yards of fill o-
dirt to be used by the Public Works Department at a unit cost of $0.30
per cubic yard delivered anywhere within the City of Paducah, said bid
having specifications as set out in the resolution adopted by the Board
of Commissioners on September 18, 1970 authorizing bids, and as con-
tained in the bid of western Baptist Hospital dated September 30, 1970.
The listed price per cubic yard is the full cost to the City, including
any and all applicable taxes.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to execute a contract with Western Baptist Hospital for the
purchase of the fill dirt as set out in Section 1 above and according
to said resolution and said bid. The total price to be expended for the
purchase of this dirt shall not exceed the sum of $5,400.00, and all
purchases shall be made prior to December 31, 1970.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist, and this
ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at
least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which
it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in
full force and effect immediately thereafter.
