AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-47 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,

KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 2-47 of the Code of Ordinances City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said
section as
amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"Sec. 2-47. Noncivil service employees generally.
(a) The monthly or hourly rate of compensation of
the following
noncivil service employees of the City of Paducah shall be
the amount
set opposite the designation of such employment, to -wit:

(b) The housing code enforcement officer shall be paid at the
rate of $479.00 per month for the first six months of employment, at the
expiration of six months $489.00 per month, and at the expiration of
one year $500.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation
of the city manager.
(c) The meter maintenance man shall be paid at the rate of $2.88
per hour for the first six months of employment and at the expiration
of six months the rate of pay shall be $2.93 per hour, such increase to
be made upon recommendation of the city manager.
(d) The No. 2 maintenance man shall be paid at the rate of $2.78
per hour for the first six months of employment and at the expiration
of six months the rate of pay shall be $2.83 per hour, such increase to
be made upon recommendation of the city manager.
(e) The maintenance helper shall be paid at the rate of $2.48
per hour for the first six months of employment and at the expiration
of six months the rate of pay shall be $2.53 per hour, such increase
to be made upon recommendation of the city manager.
(f) The laborers in the cemetery department shall be paid at the
rate of $2.25 per hour for the first six months of employment; at the
expiration of six months $2.30 -per hour; at the expiration of one year
$2.35 per mour and at the expiration of two years $2.40 per hour, such
increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager.
(g) Collectors in the refuse department shall be paid at the
rate of $2.25 per hour for the first six months of employment; at the
expiration of six months $2.30 per hour; at the expiration of one year
$2.35 per hour and at the expiration of two years $2.40 per hour, such
increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager.
(h) Foreman. The foremen shall be paid at the rate of $560.00
per month for the first year of employment in such position; at the
expiration of one year $570.00 per month; at the expiration of two years
and thereafter $580.00 per month; such increases to be made upon rec-
ommendation of the city manager."

SECTION 2. The ordinance hereby amended is Section 1 of an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ADJUSTING THE RATES OF PAY
FOR CERTAIN NON -CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH", which
ordinance was adopted on March 16, 1957, and last amended on July 7, 1970,
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption, and shall be retroactive to August 16, 1970.
