ORDINANCE NO. 70-7-358
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BILLY JOE RUSHING TO PURCHASE
THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN LOTS 17 AND 18 IN BLOCK 5
•IN O'BRYANS ADDITION ON CENTER STREET FOR THE SUM OF $500.00, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Billy Joe Rushing in the amount
of $500.00 to purchase the interest of the City in certain property
therein be accepted, said property being described as follows.
Being Lots 17 and 18 in Block 5 in O'Bryans
Addition, each fronting 40 feet on the north
side of Center Street east of Virginia Street,
and as shown on page 55 of Block Map Book 4
in the office of the City Engineer.
Being conveyed to the City of Paducah by deed
of record in Deed Book 519, page 260, Deed
Book 519, page 263, and Deed Book
page , in the McCracken County Court
Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of $500.00 to the City Treasurer,
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey
to Billy Joe Rushing all the right, title and interest of the City
in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of
conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to
title, shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by
an accurate survey, and shall be subject to 1970 City of Paducah taxes,
which are to be paid by the said Billy Joe Rushing.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
