ORDINANCE NO. 70-7-353
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE WEST
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY
OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted December 19, 1969, the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners
proposed to extend the boundary of the City by annexing certain property
lying adjacent to the west corporate limits of the said city, and
WHEREAS, said ordinance proposing such annexation and declaring
the desirability and necessity of same was published in the Paducah
Sun -Democrat, a newspaper published and distributed in Paducah,
Kentucky, as required by law after the enactment of said ordinance, and
WHEREAS, after the adoption of said ordinance proposing
annexation, and before the expiration of thirty (30) days, Dr. Eli
Khouri and others, residents and freeholders of said territory to be
annexed, filed a complaint of remonstrance in the McCracken Circuit
Court opposing such proposed annexation, and
WHEREAS, on July 1, 1970, the Judge of the McCracken Circuit
Court, Division II rendered a judgment ordering the annexation of said
property proposed to be annexed, which property is hereinafter
particularly and accurately described, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property be annexed
to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the same being more particukarly
and accurately described as follows:
Beginning at a point where the present city limits intersects
the west property line of Friedman Lane; thence easterly and
northerly with the present city limits to the south property
line of Phillips Avenue, extended; thence with said south property
line extended eastwardly and with the present city limits 200.36
feet; thence with the present city limits in a northwesterly
direction to the north property line of Phillips Avenue; thence with
the present city limits in an easterly and northerly direction
to a point 239 feet north of Phillips Avenue; thence with the present
city limits in an easterly direction and parallel with Phillips
Avenue to the west line of Lot "G", as shown by plat Book "G", page
50, recorded in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office; thence
with the present city limits with the westerly and northerly line
of Lot "G" and the northerly lines of Lots "F" and "E" to the
westerly line of Lot "B"' thence with the present city limits and
the westerly line of Lot "B" and Lot :B: if extended in a northerly
direction to the north property line of Minnich Avenue; thence with

the present city limits and the northerly line of Minnich Avenue in
an easterly direction to the west line of Lorean G. Fisher et al.,
lot recorded in Deed Book 469, page 452, McCracken County Court
Clerk's office; thence with the present city limits line and the
west line of the Fisher lot in a northerly direction 645.02 feet
to the northerly line of Orchard Heights; thence with the present
city limits and the northerly line of Orchard Heights in a westerly
direction to the west property line of Friedman Lane; thence in -
a southerly direction and with the west property line of Friedman
Lane to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
