ORDINANCE NO. 72-12-730
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILSON CHEVROLET-CADILLAC, INC.
FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF EIGHT (8) 1973 FOUR DOOR AUTOMOBILES FOR USE IN
THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, TWO (2) NEW 1973 FOUR DOOR AUTOMOBILES TO BE USED
IN THE DETECTIVE DIVISION AND ONE (1) 1973 VAN TRUCK TO BE USED IN THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid
of Wilson Chevrolet -Cadillac, Inc. for the sale to the City of eight (8)
new 1973 four door automobiles for use in the Police Department, two (2)
new 1973 four door automobiles to be used in the Detective Division, and
one (1) new 1973 van truck to be used in the Police Department, in the
total net price of $23,553.59, said bids being in substantial compliance
with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized
by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on October 17, 1972
and as contained in the bids of Wilson Chevrolet -Cadillac dated November
6, 1972.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be, and she is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Wilson Chevrolet -Cadillac for the sale to the
City of the equipment authorized in Section 1 above according to the
specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for
public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its
final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately
thereafter.
