ORDINANCE NO. 72-11-718
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 27-6 "PLACEMENT OF CONTAINERS
FOR COLLECTION; COLLECTORS NOT TO ENTER BUILDING" OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 27-6 "Placement of containers for
collection; collectors not to enter building" of the Code of Ordinances
City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said
section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 27-6. Placement of containers for collection; collectors
not to enter building.
Containers containing refuse which is set out for collection
shall be placed where they can be readily seen from outside
a building and shall be located next to the alley running ad-
jacent to the premises of a household, or, if no alley so exists,
shall be placed at a reasonably accessible location next to
the dwelling place of the household, or at some other reason-
ably accessible location designated by the city. Refuse col-
lection forces shall not enter any building for the purpose of
collecting refuse. No refuse packers or refuse vehicles exceeding
a two ton load capacity shall enter upon private property, including
driveways and parking lots without first obtaining written
authorization from the property owner and a release for any
damages caused to the surface area of the private property."
SECTION 2. Section 1 amends Section 4 of Article III of an
ordinance adopted December 16, 1952.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
