ORDINANCE NO. 72-10-711
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
"AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 20 FOOT STRIP OF LAND
ACROSS FOUR LOTS OF WILLIAM E. ROETTEIS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PHILLIPS
AVENUE, IN CONSIDERATION FOR FREE SANITARY SEWER TAP -ONS", WHICH
ORDINANCE WAS ADOPTED OCTOBER 10, 1972
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance bearing the title
quoted above be amended and reordained so that said section as amended
and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah purchase from William E.
Roetteis as his interest may appear, the hereinafter described property
in consideration of free sanitary sewer tap -ons totaling an amount
not exceeding $3,000.00 on property owned by the said William E. Roetteis
on either Phillips Avenue or Minnich Avenue in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, said lots for free tap -ons to be designated in the deed, and
said strip of land being more particularly described as follows:
A strip 20 feet in width adjacent to the existing right-
of-way on the northwest side of Phillips Avenue between
the intersections of Ivy Drive and Bellevue Drive and being
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a property corner in the northwest right-of-
way line of Phillips Avenue, said right-of-way line being
25 feet northwest of the center line of said corner
being approximately 150 feet northeast of the intersection
of the center line of Ivy Drive with the center line of
Phillips Avenue; thence with the property line in a north-
westerly direction a distance of 20 feet; thence north 48
degrees east parallel to the original 25 foot right-of-way
line a distance of 364 feet to a property line common to
William E. Roetteis and J. C. Bailey; thence in a south-
easterly direction a distance of 20 feet with the property
line to a point in the priginal 25 foot right-of-way line;
thence south 48 degrees west a distance of 364 feet to the
beginning.
The above described tract contains 0.17 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
