ORDINANCE NO. 72-10-703
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAT3 PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ZONE FOR PROPERTY ON
THE NORTH FRIENDSHIP ROAD ANNEXED INTO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
ON THE 27TH DAY OF JUNE, 1972, IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 31 OF THE
PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning
Commission on September 18, 1972 entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING
THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED
REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON NORTH FRIENDSHIP ROAD", be adopted
as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein
set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification established and the map
amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby
declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City
of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be,
and it is hereby, established as R-2 Low and Medium Density Residential Zone:
Beginning at the southeast corner of the Paducah Community College
property, same being the northeast corner of the W. C. Harton tract of
land, said beginning point also being in the westerly line of
Jonquilawn Subdivision and being located north 5 degrees, 49 minutes
east of and 159.4 feet from the southwest corner of Jonquilawn
Subdivision as shown by plat of record in Plat Book "G", page 20;
thence from the point of beginning and south 5 degrees 49 minutes
west for a distance of 128.0 feet to a point in the northerly line of
Cherokee Highlands Subdivision as shown by Plat of record in Plat Book
"D", page 45; thence north 83 degrees 47 minutes west and along Chero-
kee Highlands' northerly line a distance of 550.0 feet to the
northwest corner of the Cherokee Highlands Subdivision; thence
south 5 degrees 49 minutes west and along the westerly line of
Cherokee Highlands Subdivision for a distance of 1266.35 feet to
a point marking the northeast corner of the Charles McClure prop-
erty, said point also being located in a northerly direction and
384.06 feet from the intersection of the westerly line of Cherokee
Highlands Subdivision with the northerly right-of-way line of
North Friendship Road; thence south 85 degrees 35 minutes west
and along McClure's northerly line for a distance of 428.68 feet
to a point in the easterly right-of-way line of the North Friendship
Road, said point being 25 feet east of the centerline of the North
Friendship Road; thence north 4 degrees 25 minutes west and along
the said easterly right-of-way line of the North Friendship Road,
25 feet east of and parallel to the centerline, for a distance of
1392.40 feet to a point in the southerly line of W. C. Harton
tract; thence north 83 degrees 47 minutes west and with Harton's
southerly line for a distance of 5.0 feet to a point in the easterly
right-of-way line of the North Friendship Road, thence continuing
in a northerly direction and along the meanders of the easterly

right-of-way line of the North Friendship Road, 20 feet east of and
parallel to the center line, for a distance of 312 feet, more or less,
to a point in the southerly property line of the Paducah Community
College tract and thence in an easterly direction and along the Paducah
Community College's southerly property line, same being the northerly
property line of the W. C. Harton tract, for a distance of 1383.43
feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for
any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or
provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each
and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all
other sections,paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
