A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CHIEF OF POLICE TO
EXECUTE AN APPLICATION FOR AN ACTION GRANT WITH THE KENTUCKY CRIME
COMMISSION TO IMPROVE TECHNOLOGY IN CRIME DETECTION, DETERRENCE AND
APPREHENSION OF CRIMINALS
BE IT RESOLVW BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor, as authorizing official for the
City of Paducah, and the Chief of Police, as project director, be,
and they are hereby, authorized to execute an application for an
Action Grant to the Kentucky Crime Commission for the purpose of
improving technology for crime detection, deterrence and the
apprehension of criminals whereby the local share would be 25% and
the Federal share would be 751 with the City's obligation being
limited to a maximum of $5,887.00, which would be contributed through
the payment of salaries of two members of the Paducah Police Department
involved in the program.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and Chief of Police are further
authorized to make all assurances that the City of Paducah, Kentucky
as a recipient of the grant applied for shall comply with all lawful
requirements of the Kentucky Crime Commission and pursuant to Title I
of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
