HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1138, Ordinance Number 72-8-6921138 rq e1 ORDINANCE NO. 72-8-692 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF 9TH AND BOYD STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on August 7, 1972, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF 9TH AND BOYD STREETS", be adopted as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 Medium Density Residential Zone to M-1 Light Industry Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of North 9th Street with the center line of Boyd Street; thence in an easterly direction along and with the center line of Boyd Street a distance of 242.5 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of Boyd Street with the center line of a 30 foot alley; thence in a southerly direction along and with the center line of said alley a distance of 110 feet to the point of intersection of the center line of said alley with the dividing line between Samuel Petty and Pearline Edmonds; thence in a westerly direction along and with said dividing line a distance of 242.5 feet to the center line of North 9th Street; thence in a northerly direction along and with the center line of North 9th Street a distance of 110 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. 1139 SECTION 5.
