AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILLIAN E. PURVIS, 1929 CENTER
STREET, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN LOT 19,
BLOCK 1, O'BRYAN'S ADDITION ON CENTER STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $300.00,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of William E. Purvis in the amount of
$300.00 to purchase the interest of the City in the following described
land in said city, be accepted, said land being described as follows:
Lot 19, Block 1 of O'Bryan"s Addition
fronting 40 feet on the north side of
Center Street 120 feet east of Alabama
Street, and as shown on page 53 of
Block Igap Book No. 4 in the office of
the City Engineer.
Being the same land (F. S. Cole property)
conveyed to the City of Paducah by deed of
record in Deed Book 539, page 154 in the
McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $300.00 to the City
Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to convey to William E. Purvis all the right, title and interest of the
City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of
conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to
title and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by
an accurate survey.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
