HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1108, Ordinance Number 72-7-6781108% 4/ ORDINANCE NO. 72-7-678 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ON SOUTH 21ST STREET BETWEEN "B" STREET AND THE OLD MAYFIELD ROAD, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on July 19, 1972, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON SOUTH 21ST STREET BETWEEN "B" STREET AND THE OLD MAYFIELD ROAD", be adopted as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 Medium Density Residential Zone to B-3 General Business Zone: Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of Old Mayfield Road with the south property line of Irene S. Metzger, same being the dividing line between Metzger and City of Paducah, if extended; thence in a westerly direction along and with the south line of Irene Metzger and the north line of City of Paducah a distance of 929.8 feet to a point the southwest corner of the Irene Metzger property; thence in a northerly direction along and with the Metzger's west line a distance of 160.04 feet to the point in the south line of 22nd Street; thence in an easterly direction a distance of 80 feet to a point; thence at right angles and in a northerly direction a distance of 190 feet, more or less, to a point, the southwest corner of Charles A. Wahl; thence in an easterly direction along and with Wahl's south line a distance of 85 feet to a point, Wahl's southeast corner; thence in a northerly direction along and with Wahl's east line a distance of 190 feet to the center line of 21st Street; thence in an easterly direction along and with the center line of 21st Street a distance of 332.48 feet to the point of intersection with the west line of LeNeave Auto Repair, if extended; thence in a southerly direction along and with LeNeave's west line a distance of 182 feet to a point, LeVeave's southeast corner; thence in an easterly direction along and with LeNeave's south line a distance of 357 feet to the point of intersection with the center line of Old Mayfield Road; thence in a southerly direction along and with the center line of Old Mayfield Road a distance of 425 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. 1109 SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
