ORDINANCE NO. 72-6-663
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF GEORGE G. JACOBS TO PURCHASE
THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN PROPERTY KNOWN AS 607 BOYD STREET
FOR THE SUM OF $450.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of George G. Jacobs in the amount of
$450.00 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in the following
described land in said city be accepted, said land being described as
follows:
Being the property at 607 Boyd Street,
fronting 94 feet on the west side of Boyd
Street 106 feet south of 6th Street, and
as shown on page 15 of Block Map Beek 3
in the office of the City Engineer. See
Deed Book 243, page 469.
Being the same land (Joe Challenor property)
conveyed to the City of Paducah by Ben C. LeRoy,
Treasurer, by deed dated April 26, 1972, and of
record in Deed Book 539, page 594, in the
McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $450.00 to the City
Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to convey to George G. Jacobs all the right, title and interest of the
City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of
conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to
title and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown
by an accurate survey.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
