HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 1063, Ordinance Number 72-6-6591063 ORDINANCE NO. 72-6-659 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF EMULSIFIED ASPHALT COMPANY FOR FURNISHING THE CITY'S REQUIREMENT OF ASPHALT (EITHER LIQUID OR EMULSIFIED, OR BOTH) FOR THE YEAR 1972, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of Emulsified Asphalt Company for furnishing the City's requirements of asphalt for the year 1972, said bid being in words and figures as follows: "The following is our bid on Emulsified Asphalt for the year 1972. All prices per gallon delivered by transport truck. RS -2 $0.1550 AE -200 $0.1550 Primer L $0.1700 Pug -Mill Rental $0.0100 "If successful, we will furnish and install a 10,000 gallon, or larger storage tank. "We guarantee that there will be np increase in price on this material during the year 1972, and if there is a reduction in the market price of emulsified asphalt we will reduce our price to the City of Paducah. "If successful, we will post a performance bond in the amount of $2500.00 guaranteeing specifications and delivery. "All material will meet Kentucky Highway specifications." Said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and the advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on May 2, 1972, and as contained in the bid of Emulsified Asphalt Company dated May 22, 1972. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Emulsified Asphalt Company for sale to the City of the asphalt as authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3.
