ORDINANCE NO. 72-6-656
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILLARD GIBSON TO PURCHASE THE
INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN PROPERTIES FORMERLY KNOWN AS 906
NORTH 8TH STREET AND 908 NORTH 8TH STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $175.00,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Willard Gibson in the amount of
$175.00 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in the following
described land in said city be accepted, said land being described as
follows:
Tract No. 1.
Being property at 906 North 8th Street, fronting 22.5 feet
on the north side of North 8th Street 48 feet west of Boyd
Street, and as shown on page 21 of Block Map Book No. 3
in the office of the City Engineer. (See Deed Book 343,
page 388.)
Being the same land (Irvin Rosenstein property) conveyed to
the City of Paducah by Ben C. LeRoy, Treasurer, by deed dated
April 11, 1972, and of record in Deed Book 539, page 302
in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
Tract No. 2.
Being property at 908 North 8th Street, fronting 20 feet on
the north side of said street 70.5 feet west of Boyd Street,
and as shown on page 21 of Block Map Book No. 3 in the office
of the City Engineer. (See Deed Book 346, page 501).
Being the same land (Irving Rosenstein property) conveyed to
the City of Paducah by Ben C. LeRoy, Treasurer, by deed dated
April 11, 1972, and of record in Deed Book 539, page 299
in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $175.00 to the City
Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to convey to Willard Gibson all the right, title and interest of the
City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of
conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title
and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an
accurate survey.
SECPION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
