A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO THE NATIONAL GUARD THE CIVIC
BEAUTIFICATION BOARD AND PADUCAH SCHOOL CHILDREN FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE IN
CLEANING THE CITY OF PADUCAH
WHEREAS, the Paducah Unit of the Kentucky Army National Guard has
assisted the City of Paducah by picking up and removing junked auto-
mobiles and other large and unsightly items and assrtnbled them for
final disposal and removal from the City, and
WHEREAS, the children in all Paducah elementary, junior high and
high schools have participated in a neighborhood and community wide
trash clean-up, and
WHEREAS, the Civic Beautification Board has assisted in organizing
and carrying out said clean-up project, and
WHEREAS, as a result of the efforts of said groups, the City of
Paducah is now a cleaner and more beautiful place in which to live,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners publicly thank and
express its appreciation to the Paducah Unit of the Kentucky Army
National Guard, the Civic Beautification and all young people of this
community who have participated in the community clean-up project.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
