HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 17, Page 10, Ordinance Number 70-1-28410J ORDINANCE NO. 70-1-284 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SUN OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL MOTOR OIL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM JANUARY 1, 1970 TO DECEMBER 31, 1970, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, with Sun Oil Company for the purchase of the following supplies for use by the City from January 1, 1970 to December 31, 1970: Motor Oil, best premium grade, detergent H -D (not to be a fleet oil) $0.68 per gallon. First Grade, detergent H -D, $0.54 per gallon First Grade, non -detergent, $0.59 per gallon Diesel, high detergent, $0.68 per gallon Hydraulic Oil, $0.43 per gallon Motor oil in quarts, in gallon cases Best premium grade, detergent H -D, $0.87 per gallon First grade, detergent H -D $0.87 per gallon First grade non -detergent, $0.78 per gallon Diesel, high detergent, $0.87 per gallon Chassis Lubricant $0.2225 per pound, discount $0.07 per pound Gear Lube Oil, $0.195 per pound, discount $0.055 per pound Anti -freeze, permanent type in gallon cans, $1.39 per gallon, discount $0.24 per gallon. All Products furnished to the City will be paid for on or about the 15th day of the month following purchase, with terms of net 30 days. The City shall not be required to make a deposit on any drums, but all drums will be returned by the City when empty. All prices quoted herein shall be guaranteed against advance in the market price, and the company is to guarantee a corresponding reduction in price in the event of a decrease in price. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
