FOR THE PURCHASE.OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BETWEEN 16TH AND 17TH STREETS AT "B" STREET, IF EXTENDED, KNOWN AS THE "OLD GUTHRIE PIT", AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED TO SAME THAT WHEREAS, the City Manager did on January 10, January 12 and January 13, 1969, advertise in the Paducah Sun -Democrat, a notice to the effect that sealed bids would be received in the office of the City Manager until 10:30 a.m., January 20, 1969, for sale to the highest bidder the property between 16th and 17th Streets at "B" Street, if extended, known as the "Old Guthrie Pit", and WHEREAS, only one bid was received pursuant to said advertisement and that being in the sum of $3,500.00 submitted by Gilbert Associates, Inc., and WHEREAS, it being the desire of the Board of Commissioners to accept said bid, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of Gilbert Associates, Inc. in the amount of $3,500.00 for the purchase of the property of the City of Paducah between 16th and 17th Streets at "B" Street, if extended, known as the "0ld Guthrie Pit", and as more particularly described in Section 2 hereof, be accepted. SECTION 2. Upon payment of the purchase price of $3,500.00 by Gilbert Associates, Inc. to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said Gilbert Associates, Inc. conveying the property mentioned in Section 1 hereof, and more particularly described as follows: Being in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and beginning at a point on the north property line of 17th Street, 316 feet north of the northeast corner of the intersection of Guthrie Avenue and "B" Street; thence at right angles in a westerly direction with the north property line of 17th Street 14.88 feet; thence in a northwesterly direction with the arc of a curve having a radius of 162.9 feet and an interior deflection angle of 125 degrees, 35 minutes, 51� seconds, a distance of 62.25 feet to the end of said curve; thence continuing in a northwesterly direction at an interior chord deflection angle of 190 degrees 56 minutes, 53' seconds, a distance of 150.39 feet to the east property line of 17th Street; thence at an interior angle of 133 degrees, 27 minutes, 15 seconds in a 884 northerly direction with the east property line of 17th Street 69.29 feet to an abrupt angle in 17th Street; thence in a westerly direction at an interior angle of 257 degrees, 53 minutes, 45 seconds and with the northerly line of 17th Street 13.71 feet to the easterly line of 16th Street; thence in a northeasterly direction at an interior angle of 74 degrees, 10 minutes and with the easterly property line of 16th Street 152.12 feet to the beginning of a curve having a radius of 125 feet; thence con- tinuing with the property line of 16th Street in a northeasterly direction along the arc of said curve at an interior.chord deflection angle of 148 degrees 58 minutes, 07h seconds a distance of 135.40 feet to the end of said curve; thence con- tinuing with the property line of 16th Street in an easterly direction at an interior chord deflection angle of 148 degrees 58 minutes, 07'h seconds a distance of 58.03 feet; thence at right angles in a southerly direction 277.67 feet; thence at right angles in an easterly direction 23.67 feet; thence at right angles in a southerly direction 146 feet, thence at right angles in a westerly direction 90 feet; thence at right angles in a southerly direction 3.06 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 1.809 Acres. Conveyed to the City of Paducah by deed recorded in Deed Book 278, page 55 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. Which deed shall contain no warranty as to title and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey of said property. SECTION 3.
