AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING
ADJACENT TO THE NORTH COR®ORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED
TO BE ANNEXED AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY OF SUCH
ANNEXATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain land lying
adjacent to the north corporate limits, more particularly described
hereinafter, be annexed to the City of Paducah, and that said property
so proposed to be annexed is accurately described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the present city limits line, said
point being east of 32nd Street and 133.02 feet morth of the
Hinkleville Road (US 60) and being in the east line of Lot 54,
Flournoy, Norton, Bird Division as recorded in Deed Book Z,
page 270, McCracken County Court Clerk's office, said lot now
owned by W. E. Harris; thence in a northerly direction with the
east line of Lot 54, the present city limits and Harris' east
line 1541.23 feet to an old base line being also the north
east corner of Lot 54; thence in a westerly direction with said
base line, being also the north line of Harris and the north
line of Lot 54 and continuing with said base line and the north
line of Lot 55, Flournoy, Norton, Bird Division as recorded in
Deed Book Z, page 270, McCracken County Court Clerk's office,
a distance of 1720 feet more or less to the present city limits
line at a corner of Nelson Park; thence in a southerly direc-
tion with the present city limits line and the easterly line
of Nelson Park 461.2 feet; thence in a westerly direction with
the present city limits line and the southerly line of Nelson
Park 648 feet to a 36 foot lane entrance into Nelson Park;
thence in a southerly direction with the present city limits
line and with the east line of the above mentioned 36 foot lane
1981.4 feet to the north line of Hinkleville Road; thence in
an easterly direction with the present city limits and with the
north line of the Hinkleville Road 1606 feet more or less to
a point 150 feet west of the west line of 32nd Street, if extended
north across the Hinkleville Road; thence in a northerly direc-
tion and with the present city limits line 136.02 feet; thence
in an easterly direction with the present city limits line
and parallel with the Hinkleville Road 538.61 feet to the point
of beginning.
SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by annexing the property described
in Section 1 hereof is desirable and necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in the Sun -Democrat,
a newspaper in Paducah, Kentucky, as provided for and required by
Section 424.130 of Kentucky Revised Statutes, and the extension of the
01 0 City Limits as herein proposed shall not become effective until the
adoption of an ordinance annexing the property described in Section 1
hereof, and such ordinance shall not be adopted until after publication
of this ordinance as provided herein and until the expiration of a
period of thirty days after the enactment of this ordinance.

Notice is hereby given under the provisions of Section 81.110
of Kentucky RevisedStatutes that one or more residents or freeholders
of the herein territory proposed to be annexed may, within thirty days
after the enactment of this ordinance, file a petition in the Cir cuit
Court of McCracken County, Kentucky, setting forth the reason why said
territory, or any part of it, shall not be annexed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
