ORDINANCE NO. 68-12-150
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 6 AND 9 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
"AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND GOVERNING BURIALS, DISINTERMENT AND
REINTERMENT CHARGES IN OAK GROVE CEMETERY AND ADDITIONS THERETO",
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY ON OCTOBER 23, 1909, AND WHICH SECTION 6 THEREOF WAS LAST
AMENDED ON JANUARY 9, 1968, AND WHICH SECTION 9 WAS LAST AMENDED ON
JUNE 11, 1968
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Sections 6 and 9 of an ordinance containing the
title quoted above, which was adopted by the General Council of the City
of Paducah on October 23, 1909, and which Section 6 thereof was last
amended on January 9, 1968, and which Section 9 was last amended on
June 11, 1968, be, and the same are hereby further amended and reordained
so that said Sections as amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 6. All grave lots sold in Oak Grove Cemetery and
additions thereto, including Rushing Addition, under what is known
�7 as the single grave privilege, the price thereof is hereby fixed at a

' minimum of $100.00 per grave, with certain exceptions requiring higher
and lower prices as follows:
In the Mausoleum Addition the price per grave shall be $175.00;
In the first row facing Rushing Street in Section 6 the price per
grave shall be $150.00, and
In the second row of Section 6 behind the foregoing lots facing
Rushing Street, the price per grave shall be $125.00.
For the small size grave lots in Certain sections for the burial
of children 12 years of age and under, the price shall be $50.00 per
grave.
"SECTION 9. The charge for opening and closing of graves, for
the use of the Receiving Vault, and other cemetery services shall be
as follows:

MAUSOLEUM PRIVATELY OWNED
Burial permits in privately owned mausoleums shall
by $40.00 on week days and $60.00 on Sundays and
Holidays
USE OF RECEIVING VAULT
The charges for use of the Receiving Vault
pending burial for the first month, or
part thereof, shall be 30.00
For any period of time in excess of the first
month, the charge per month, or any part
thereof, shall be 20.00
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Sodding grave or grave lot, other than replacing
available sod following grave opening 12.00

Setting government markers
Placing or erecting foundations for grave slabs
All monument foundations will be poured by the
Cemetery Department at a per square foot cost of
All additional services such as the planting,
relocating or removing of trees or scrubs, the
construction or removal of curbs, and such services
shall be at actual cost or at designated rates to be
prescribed and determined by the Cemetery Department
Superintendent.
The owner of any lot, a member of the owner's immediate
family or his next of hin, or the Funeral Director,
must sign an order for any work required to be performed
on such lot and in the case of grave openings the order
must contain a description or diagram locating the
place on the lot for the opening."
All ordinances or parts of ordinances, including
other sections within this ordinance, that are in conflict herewith
are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
