1. ORDINANCE NO. 68-12-148
AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING REGISTRATION OF CONVICTED FELONS AND
CERTAIN CONVICTED MISDEMEANANTS AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. Any person who has been convicted of any type of
felony crime or convicted of any misdemeanor sex offense in any
jurisdiction shall, upon arrival within the city limits of the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, proceed immediately to the Police Department
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and shall furnish his name, address,
age, name of crime, place of conviction, and sentence of conviction,
to an officer of the Police Department of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, and if requested by the police officer shall also submit
to fingerprinting and photographing by said police officer.
SECTION 2. Persons who have been convicted of a felony or any
misdemeanor sex offense, who are living in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, at the time this ordinance is adopted and published, shall
have forty-five (45) days from its effective date to comply with
Section 1 of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid
for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph
or provision shall jot affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make
each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable
from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 4. Any person who violates any section of this ordinance
shall be punished by a fine or not more than $100.00 or imprisoned in
the City Jail in Paducah, Kentucky for not more than 60 days, or both.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and publication.
