AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JOSEPH H. LEE AND WIFE,
MARGARET M. LEE, FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY AND LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF
16TH AND CLAY STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED OF CONVEYANCE
THERETO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the
bid and offer of Joseph H. Lee and wife, Margaret M. Lee, in the
amount of $1,200.00 for the purchase of the following property
owned by said City and situated therein, described as follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of 16th Street and
Clay Street; thence along the north line of Clay Street
west h6-2/3 feet; thence at right angles north 140 feet
to the south line of an alley; thence at right angles
along the south line of said alley east 46-2/3 feet to the
west line of 16th Street; thence at right angles along
the west line of 16th street, south 140 feet to the
beginning.
Being in all respects the same property conveyed to the
City of Paducah by City of Paducah, Mrs. Julia Ford by
Sam King, Master Commissioner, by deed dated the 8th day
of October, 1943, and recorded in Commissioners Deed
Book 11, page 306 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's
office.
SECTION 2. Upon payment of the aforesaid sum of $1,200.00
to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a deed
conveying said property to said purchasers, with no warranty as to
title and subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an
accurate survey.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
