ORDINANCE NO. 68-11-138
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT
TO THE CONTRACT DATED JULY 11, 1968 BETWEEN HEATHER HILL, INC. AND
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, PERMITTING A MAXIMUM INCREASE IN PAYMENT OF
$2,274.60
WHEREAS by ordinance enacted on June 18, 1968, the Mayor
was authorized to contract with Heather Hill, Inc. for the purchase
of sanitary sewers in Heather Hill Subdivision when constructed, and
WHEREAS by contract dated July 11, 1968, the City became
obligated to pay $40,226.30 for said sewers, and
WHEREAS subsequent to the contract, but prior to completion

of the work, the City Manager, with approval of a majority of this
Board, authorized a construction change for the improvement of the
project, by increasing the size of a portion of the sewer mains from
8 inches to 10 inches, and
WHEREAS the said change increased the project cost in the amount
of $2,274.60;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to execute an amendment to the contract dated July 11, 1968
between Heather Hill, Inc. and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, increasing
the total maximum contract price from $40,226.30 to $42,500.90.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be introduced and remain
on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
