A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH FURNITURE AND APPLIANCES
FOR THE NEW CENTRAL FIRE STATION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby
authorized to advertise for bids for furnishing the City of Paducah
with furniture and appliances for the new central fire station, with
said bids to be submitted at the lowest cash price per unit, including
any and all applicable taxes, in accordance with the terms and
specifications listed herein.
QUANTITY DESCRIPTION
16 Double Deck Beds with No -Sag spring
and heavy duty side rails in a size
not less than 36" x 74"
32 Pure Latex rubber mattresses (extra
firm and reversible) at least 4
inches thick and covered with good
grade ticking. (Size to conform to
bed as bid)
1 Electric Refrigerator of not less
than 15 cubic feet with frost proof
freezer space.
Each bidder must guarantee and be able to furnish immediate
delivery of the items bid on. Each bidder must bid on each and every
item and all incomplete bids will be rejected.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by
posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in the Paducah Sun -Democrat to be published not
less than seven nor more than twenty-one days before the date fixed
for the opening of bids. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall
be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of same.
All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the
notice for the opening of same shall be filed with the Board of
Commissioners who may let a contract to the .lowest and best bidder,
and the Board shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and
the City shall not become legally obligated to any bidder until the
adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase
contract.

SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
