AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO LEASE A CERTAIN
BUILDING FROM JESSE SPARKS FOR USE IN THE OAKLAWN CONCENTRATED CODE
ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAID
LEASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to enter into a lease, on behalf of the City, with Jesse
Sparks for the rental of a building 40' x 45' to be constructed at
the rear of the present building being constructed by Jesse Sparks
at 2018 Cairo Road in Paducah, Kentucky. The said Jesse Sparks
is to install all heating, air conditioning and plumbing equipment
and is to maintain the roof and exterior of the building in good
condition, but it shall be the obligation of the City to pay all
utility bills and to keep the interior of the building in good condition.
Such building is to be used by the City and its employees and agents
in connection with the Oaklawn Concentrated Code Enforcement Program
No. KY E-1.
SECTION 2. The term of the lease set out in Section 1 hereof shall
be for a period of three (3) years from the completion of said building,
the exact time of completion to be determined by the City Manager,
and the rent to be paid by the City shall be the sum of $150.00 per
month payable from the project funds of Oaklawn Concentrated Code
Enforcement Program No. KY E-1.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
