AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7A OF THE "APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES'
CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE" WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
ON DECEMBER 2, 1947, AND AMENDED ON JANUARY 22, 1963, JUNE 11, 1963,
DECEMBER 3, 1963, JULY 21, 1964, APRIL 27, 1965, MAY 11, 1965, NOVEMBER
9, 1965, MARCH 22, 1966, NOVEMBER 29, 1966 AND DECEMBER 13, 1966
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 7-A of the "Appointive Employees' Civil
Service Ordinance", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on December 2, 1947, and amended as stated in the title hereof, be,
and it is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended
and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 7-A. There is hereby created and authorized the follow-
ing positions in the office of the City Assessor, which office was
formerly in the Department of Finance, and the salary of each position,
provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportion-
ment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows:
Position Base Monthly Sa
City Assessor, Head of Department $600.00
Evaluation Clerk 365.00
Clerk -typist 270.00
The Evaluation Clerk shall be paid at the rate of $365.00 per
month for the first six months; at the expiration of six months $375.00
per month; and at the expiration of one year $385.00 per month; and at
the expiration of two years $395.00 per month; and at the expiration of
three years $405.00 per month; such increases to be made upon recom-
mendation of the City Manager.
The Clerk -typist shall be paid at the rate of $270.00 per month
for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months
$280.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $290.00 per month; at
the expiration of two years $300.00 per month; and at the expiration
of three years $310.00 per month; such increases to be made upon
recommendation of the City Manager."

SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption, and the salary increase provided for herein
shall be retroactive to July 1, 1968.
