AVENUE, LILLIAH AVENUE, ADDITIONAL PRIVATE PROPERTY, U11DLR THE
P & I RAILROAD, ADDITIONAL PRIVATE PROPERTY TO HINKLEVILLE ROAD;
PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF CONNECTION PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR
THE PAYPC' NT OF THE CONNECTION CHARGES; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES
FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF
WHEREAS, by ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners on
June 28, 1966, and of record in Ordinance Book 15, page 1010 in the
City Clerk's office, a contract was entered into by and between said
City and Presley Plumbing & Heating Company, Inc. for the construction
of sanitary sewers in the designated areas and abutting the streets
contained in the title hereof, said contract being known as Contract
C-1966, and
WHEREAS, said construction work is now nearing its completion and
it is desired to establish the amounts to be charged for connecting
to the sanitary sewers in said areas, and
WHEREAS the consulting engineers for said project, Edward T.
Hannan & Associates, Inc., did, on January 26, 1967, advise the Board
Of Commissioners as to the amount to be properly charged for said
connections in said areas and territories, based upon the construction
costs and number of present and future connections, and said areas and
territories being designated by said Engineers as follows:
Primrose Place, Ivy Drive, Bellevue Avenue,
Phillips Avenue, Private Property, Minnich Avenue,
Lillian Avenue, additional Private property, under
the P & I Railroad, additional Private Property to
Hinkleville Road.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established the charge of $750.00
for each connection to City canitary sewers constructed under
Sewerage Extensions Contract C-1966, said sanitary sewers being in
the following territories and areas:
Primrose Place, Ivy Drive, Bellevue Avenue
Phillips Avenue, Private Property, Minnich Avenue,
Lillian Avenue, additional Private Property, under
the P & I Railroad, additional Private Property to
Hinkleville Road.

SECTION 2. No connection to said sanitary sewer system shall
be made by any property owner or other person, firm or corporation
except under permit for such connection issued by the Director of
Public Works of said City.
SECTION 3. The Director of Public Works shall not issue the
connection permit set out in Section 2 hereof until he has received
evidence that the proper connection fee has been paid to the City
Treasurer.
SECTION 4. No connections to said sanitary sewer system shall be
made by any property owner or other person, firm or corporation in any
of the above areas, nor shall the Director of Public Works issue any
connection permits, nor shall the City Treasurer accept any connection
fees for any connections unless and until the property to be served
by such connection be included within the cityllimits of the City of
Paducah,
SECTION 5. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to make a connection to any sanitary sewer constructed in the
above described territories without having paid the proper fee as set out
herein and obtained the proper permit as set out herein, and upon con-
viction shall be fined not less than $50.00 nor more than $100.00 for
each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed upon
each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues
SECTION 6. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
