ORDINANCE NO. 68 -3 -3§ -
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE WEST SIDE OF
FOUNTAIN AVENUE BETWEEN CLAY STREET. AND PARK AVENUE, ,AND AMENDING THE
PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF.THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning
Commission on March 20, 1968 entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE
FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH ,PLANNING .COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING
OF PROPERTY ON THE WEST SIDE OF.FOUNTAIN AVENUE BETWEEN CLAY STREET AND
PARK AVENUE_ be approved as the final report of said Commission
respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the.zone classification change and the map amend-
ment proposed in said resolution be, and the same hereby is, declared.
to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed from R-2 One -Family Residential Zone to
R-3 Two -Family Residential Zone:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line
of Fountain Avenue with the center line of Park Avenue;
thence in a southwesterly direction along and with the
center line of Park Avenue a distance of 211 feet to the
point of intersection of the center line of Park Avenue
with the center line of a 15 foot alley; thence at right
angles and in a southeasterly direction along and with
the center line of said alley a distance of 342 feet to
the point of intersection of the center line of said alley
with the center line of Clay Street; thence at right angles
and in a northeasterly direction along and with the center
line of Clay Street a distance of 211 feet to the point of
intersection of the center line of Clay Street with the
center line of Fountain Avenue; thence at right angles
and in a northwesterly direction along and with the center
line of Fountain Avenue a distance of 342 feet to the point
of beginning.
SECTION 5. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid
for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph
or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make
each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from
all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
