ORDINANCE NO. 68-3-34
AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING
ADJACENT TO THE SOUTHWEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED
TO BE ANNEXED, AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY OF SUCH
ANNEXATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain land lying
adjacent to the southwest corporate limits, more particularly
described hereinafter, be annexed to the City of Paducah, and that
said property so proposed to be annexed is accurately described as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly right-of-way
line of U. S. 62, known as Blandville Road, (35 feet
from the center line thereof) being the Northwest
corner of the Ingram tract and also 772.0 feet as
measured in an Easterly direction along said right-of-way
line to its intersection with the center line of the
North Friendship Road; thence north 64 degrees 50 minutes
east with said Southerly right-of-way line 1,007.78 feet
to the Northwest corner of the Edwin A. Wurth tract;
thence south 21 degrees 27 minutes east 347.77 feet to
Wurth Southwest corner; thence north 68 degrees 33 minutes
east 457.12 feet; thence south 21 degrees 27 minutes
east 179.50 feet; thence north 64 degrees 50 minutes east
761.46 feet to a point in the present west line of
Paducah Junior College property; thence along west line
of Paducah Junior College property south 3 degrees 49
minutes west 241.47 feet; thence south 5 degrees 12 minutes
east 365.95 feet; thence south 34 degrees 29 minutes west
157.4 feet; thence south 12 degrees 19 minutes west 569.5
feet; thence north 78 degrees 52 minutes west 590.88 feet
to a point in the Northerly right-of-way line of North
Friendship Road, said point being in a 26.527 degree
curve to the left; thence north 73 degrees 46 minutes
west along the chord of said curve 46.28 feet to end of
curve; thence north 79 degrees 57 minutes west 865.00 feet
to the beginning of a 1.004 degree curve to right; thence
along curve 190.83 deet (a chord being N 78 degrees 59
minutes W 190.80 feet) to end of curve; thence north 78
degrees 02 minutes west along right of way line 324.25
feet to Southwest corner of the Ingram property; thence
north 5 degrees 33 minutes west 483.07 feet to beginning.
Containing 44.5 acres, more or less.
Being the same property conveyed to Paducah Junior College
by deed dated November 14, 1967 of record in Deed Book 493,
page 11, McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by annexing the property described
in Section 1 hereof is desirable and necessary.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be published in the Sun -Democrat,
a newspaper in Paducah, Kentucky, as provided for and required by
Section 424.130 of Kentucky Revised Statutes, and the extension of the
city limits as herein proposed shall not become effective until the
adoption of an ordinance annexing the property described in Section 1
hereof, and such ordinance shall not be adopted until after publication
of this ordinance as provided herein and until the expiration of a
period of thirty days after the enactment of this ordinance.
Notice is hereby given under the provisions of Section 81.1 10
of Kentucky Revised Statutes that one or more residents or freeholders
of the herein territory proposed to be annexed may, within thirty days
after the enactment of this ordinance, file a petition in the Circuit
Court of McCracken County, Kentucky, setting forth the reason why said
territory, or any part of it, shall not be annexed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
